Everyone asks me – why koofsa?

My name is Vered Osterwill. Growing up, I had a little treasure box in which I collected jewellery and trinkets that were special to me. These beautiful little trinkets inspired me to create and produce jewellery from polymer clay. I sold my jewellery at fairs all over Israel. I spent a few years living in Australia where I decorated wooden products for design and gallery stores.  When I returned to Israel I opened a shop unsurprisingly called – koofsa (in English - ‘box’).

My shop is also my creative studio

My shop reflects my deep love for aesthetic beauty, creativity, colors and varied materials. I love raw materials in their rough and unmanipulated state - without shiny decorations. I always search for the perfect point of balance between the original texture of the material and the polished aesthetically pleasing product.

Alongside the designs I create, I search for colourful items from all around the world and bring them to the store. Jewellery, purses and bags, scarves and hats – anything and everything that is beautiful and speaks to my heart.

Shira from Kibbutz Magal

“When I really love someone, I spoil them with a present that is unique and creative, something that you don’t find everywhere. All my family in Paris enjoys Vered’s creations and designs. Everyone always asks me about the colourful and spectacular jewellery that I wear. Vered - how amazing that you can make so many women who love you, so happy. It is no cliché to say that you are one of a kind!”

Orit from Karkur

“My absolute favourite jewellery.  Vered is talented and creative, she makes magic with colors and materials. The necklaces and pendants are gorgeous, the bracelets…so unique and delicate. They lift my outfits up a level. I am always being admired and complimented about them.”

Merav from Moshav Yarkona

One day I was surprised to discover that all my jewellery was stolen from my house. In my anger and sadness one thing comforted me – on the morning of the robbery, was that I was wearing my favourite necklace, one made by Vered that I have had for many years. It’s a necklace that suits every outfit – it is so comfortable and adds color.
